The Creative Curriculum® focuses on meeting the needs of individual children, while honoring and
respecting the role that teachers play in making learning engaging, inspiring, and meaningful for every child.
Learning takes place through hands-on, “minds-on” project-based investigations, or studies, which have been
shown by research to be the most developmentally appropriate way for young children to learn. Studies
integrate academic rigor alongside social–emotional learning, cognitive development and meaningful
interactions through in-depth investigations of a topic such as water, balls, or clothes. Children raise questions
about the topic, and through exploration and discovery, find answers to their questions. Learn more about
